Selected Portraits

The expressiveness and boundless range of color and form that exists in one individual’s face and that differentiates it from all others has always fascinated me. My goal in painting portraits is to obtain an objective likeness, which, in turn, reflects the personality of the sitter.

The intense concentration that is an integral part of my painting process rewards me with an understanding, appreciation, and intimacy with my subject that I might not otherwise experience.
